I guess Rihanna told Ryan Seacrest that she and Dodger’s center fielder Matt Kemp are something official.  So now we enjoy this.

Chone Figgins of the Los Angeles Angeles of Anaheim is no longer an Angel.  After 8 amazing years with the Halos Chone has given himself the opportunity to sign a new contract for big money.  The Angels supposedly offered him a 3 year $24 Million deal which Chone did not take.  Instead he signed with the American League West rival Seattle Mariners for 4 years and $36 Million with an option for a potential 5th year worth $9 Million. via SI.COM

I would like to say thanks to Chone for stealing more bases than I’ve seen an Angel steal in my lifetime, wearing a giant bandaid on your arm, and playing excellent defense at every position you played at… which was all but pitcher, first base, and catcher.

Good luck… I won’t be rooting for you unfortunately because you signed with the Mariners.  Had you signed with a National League team or an east coast team I would have enjoyed watching you kick butt in a different uniform.
